6.5 liters is a really big engine by modern standards, but many standard passenger car engines in the USA were even bigger in the 1960's and 1970's. A V-12 has a really large number of cylinders compared to the standard 4 or 6, but Cadillac had a V-16 in 1930. So what is it that makes this engine so special? The 700 horsepower it produces at peak RPM is higher than nearly any automobile ever made.

Step 8 contains the parts for the long block of the engine including the block, the heads, the valve covers, the timing covers, the fuel injectors, and the lower intake runners.
