Tamiya Lunchbox Project

Page 2: Upgrades!

The Lunchbox doesn't benefit much from upgrades, but those pogo stick shocks always bothered me.  I found this bag of yellow shocks in my hobby area which I'd apparently had sitting around for years.  I probably got them when I was collecting parts for the Thundershot.   These are not precisely the correct shocks for the Lunchbox, but they are the right length so I figured I could make them work.  I was right.  I used the rod ends from the stock shocks (black) and some springs from my parts bin that I selected to match the springs on the Midnight Pumpkin (which uses the same chassis).  I think it looks great and a make a big difference in driveability.

I also eventually swapped out the silver can for a Torque Tuned motor.  It doesn't make much difference, but it makes me feel better.
