Gmade Komodo Project

Page 3: Final Photos

The stock body is so mean looking that I decided on a classic black with minimal sticker ornamentation.  Looks pretty good IMHO.  At the point these pictures were taken I had not yet installed the lights, but it doesn't really look any different from the outside unless it is dark.  As you can see in the final picture, suspension articulation is huge.

The Komodo is not a licensed model of any particular truck, but I think it is pretty clear that it is intended to be a Ford F-150.  In particular, the unique shape of the headlights gives it away.

Later, I changed the body to make this truck into a 1946 Dodge Power Wagon.  The black Ford was just a bit too plain and common for me.  The Power Wagon in metallic orange really looks unusual and eye catching which is what I like.  The conversion also allowed me to add a winch which adds a lot to the off road performance as well as appearance.

Here's a picture of a real 1946 Dodge Power Wagon (4-door) for comparison.
